This privacy policy explains how SilverStarn's Blog's portfolio and blog handles sign-in, comments, reactions, post view counts, and site security data.

Privacy Policy

Clear rules for the data this site uses.

Effective date: May 13, 2026

Account sign-in

If you sign in with Google, the site receives basic profile information such as your name, email address, and account identifier through Supabase Auth. This is used for login, comment identity, and admin access control.

You can browse public pages and posts without creating an account.

Comments and reactions

When you leave a comment, the site stores the comment body, the post it belongs to, the submission time, and either your signed-in profile or the guest name and email you provide.

Comments are moderated before they appear publicly. Reactions are stored so each visitor can react to a post or comment without inflating counts.

Post view counts

The site counts unique post views with a privacy-preserving browser identifier. Browsers do not expose MAC addresses to websites, so the site does not collect or store MAC addresses.

The identifier is hashed on the server before it is stored, and it is used only to avoid counting the same browser repeatedly for the same post.

Security and service providers

The site uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage, and Vercel for hosting. These providers process technical request data needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Server-side validation, row-level security, and rate limits are used to reduce spam, unauthorized edits, and automated abuse.

Your choices

You can use the public site without signing in. You can clear this site's local browser storage to reset browser-level preferences and view identity. To request deletion of comments or account-related data, contact karrinquady@gmail.com.
